The 5th Annual Snohomish Wedding Tour

Jenn & I are so excited to be participating in the 5th Annual Snohomish Wedding Tour this weekend!  We’ll be at the Belle Chapel from 11-5 on Sunday! If you’re one of our 2013/2014 couples getting married, or if you know someone whose planning a Wedding, this event is a must-do!  Go to for more details!  See you Sunday!

    Leticia & Rojelio ~ Engagement

Leticia & Rojelio met us at Cama Beach State Park last week (on 05/18/13) for a romantic engagement session on the beach against the Saratoga Passage section of Puget Sound.  Their story goes back almost a decade.  They knew each other from work for about 3 years and then one day became friends who fell in love. They have been together as a couple for over 6 years and have 4 children (ages toddler to teenager), the youngest is theirs together and the older three are coming into the new family with Leticia from a previous marriage. Leticia said one of the most enjoyable things they like to do together is spend time with their children.  Leticia & Rojelio love going out to Anthony’s Seafood Restaurant and this was the spot where Rojelio popped the question on Valentine’s Day and Leticia said ‘yes’!  Working with them was wonderful – they interact so naturally and with ease in front of the lens.  We had great light on the beach, in the local boat house and in the woods – a perfect day for the Nikon! We can’t wait until the Wedding in August at Juntunen Gardens in Mount Vernon, so until then, let’s wish our happy couple a big ‘Congratulations’ on finding each other on their journeys through life!

      Chris & Katy ~ Wedding

I photographed a Wedding solo last week on Saturday, 05/11/13 for Chris & Katy (smaller Wedding, so Jenn had the day off!)  It was a small Wedding with HUGE FLAIR! Katy & Chris did not miss anything – the day was perfect!  Katy looked stunning in her dress from David’s Bridal, which was beautifully accented with her bouquet from Pink Peony Flowers.  Maverick Catering delivered incredible eats (highlight was the Prime Rib – to die for!) & Katy’s friend Christie Britton baked up a delicious Wedding Cake!  Katy & Chris are bringing kiddos with them into the marriage – so they are now an instant family of 5! Tristan & Rebekkah now have a new brother Eli!  Katy & Chris met online a couple years ago & hit it off right away! They went to a Mexican Restaurant for their first date, but Thai food is their favorite! Their favorite tune is ‘Collide’ by Howie Day & their favorite movie is ‘The Princess Bride’ – a scene from which Eli acted out (quite well) at the Wedding Ceremony!  He had everybody (including the Officiant, Judge Ellen J. Fair) cracking up!  This was just one of many memorable highlights, here are some others:  the special gifts given during our shoot at the Edmonds Waterfront, the mustache kit (AWESOME idea!), one of the best candy tables I’ve ever seen, Judge Fair officiating a beautiful ceremony, Katy dancing with Chris & then her Dad, Chris almost being picked up on 3 sides by Katy’s friends, and Katy jumping a skateboard like Eli (who actually did that a minute before with another skateboard).  It was a day full of humor, love and fun – it really was a perfect Wedding!  So, ‘Congratulations’ to Chris & Katy, best friends who became husband & wife on a beautiful May afternoon!

        Michael & Rebecca ~ Engagement

Michael & Rebecca suggested Jennings Park in Marysville as a location for their Engagement Session last Sunday, 05/05/13 – and it turned out to be an incredible spot to shoot!  Great variety of environments and beautiful light!  We started shooting later in the afternoon, so we wound up with some beautiful evening light towards the latter part of our session.  We were able to capture some really stunning photographs!  From the first shot, Michael & Rebecca were totally relaxed and natural in front of the camera – they just got close & their magic became obvious!  They are so in love & are looking forward to a December Wedding at a Church in Snohomish they both regularly attend.  They met at Everett Community College as Rebecca was studying to be a Teacher and Michael to be a Police Officer.  They belong to a softball team with their church & act like they are best friends!  Thanks Michael & Rebecca for the beautiful late afternoon Engagement Session in Marysville & Congrats again to you both!

          Riley ~ Class of 2013

I met up with Riley on 05/04/13 to shoot his Senior Session at Howarth park in Everett.  Riley brought his canine buddy (‘Chief’) & we had beautiful light during the session.  Riley is going to be graduating Lakewood High School this year (Class of 2013) and he’s got plans to move down to Southern California to get into Community College & Skateboard (he wants to go pro!)  Riley is also is really into music and said he may wind up going into music production.  California is a land of open possibilities, so let’s wish Riley the best of luck as he pursues his post-graduation dreams South of Seattle!
