Barbie & Colin ~ 06/08/13

Jenn & I met up with Barbie & Colin at the Wild Rose in Arlington on 06/08/13 for one of our best Weddings ever!  We loved working with Colin & Barbie and it was great to meet their family and friends from Washington, Ireland and Japan!  On the heels of our great Engagement Session with these two in Capital Hill, it was on to the Wedding at the Wild Rose only a couple months later!  Very laid back vibe to the whole day, but at the same time the emotion level was really high as we celebrated the love these 2 very special people shared on this most meaningful of days!  There were great vendors there who also helped to make it special!  The Wild Rose provided a delicious buffet, Sound Unlimited was the perfect DJ for the day, Pike Place Market Floral provided stunning floral creations, Barbie’s Dress was courtesy of David’s Bridal, Colin’s Tux was courtesy of the Men’s Warehouse and for the rings – yes, they went to Jared!  Perfect weather gave this stunning Pacific Northwest Wedding the beautiful light it deserved!  Highlights:  Love bird cake toppers, the umbrellas, the Super Hero Identities revealed, the bouquet & garter hand off to their best friends and one of the best Wedding Party ‘jump shots’ we’ve ever done!  So to Colin & Barbie, ‘May the Road Rise Up to Meet You & May the Wind Always be at Your Back’ (for many, many years to come!) – Congratulations!

Mac & Donna Lee

I met up with Mac & Donna Lee on 05/31/13 for a couple session at Hillcrest park in Mount Vernon.  We had a great time walking through the park, taking some wonderful pictures & laughing our tails off.  What was really cool was I had a chance to learn about Mac & Donna Lee’s journey – talk about a great story!  Married for 25 years, 6 children between them (from other marriages) & 7 grandchildren!  Mac is a retired Fire Fighter and Donna Lee is a retired Contract Administrator.  For their first date, they met for ice cream and Mac kissed Donna Lee on the cheek, coining their phrase “the ice cream kiss”.  For their honeymoon in 1988, Mac drove Donna Lee from Washington to Alaska, using his trailer to camp all the way their (they had a blast)!  They’ve lived in Silvana for the last 18 years and are still very much in love, as these photos show.  Here’s wishing Mac & Donna Lee many more years of happiness, laughter & love!

    Heather & Brandon ~ 05/25/13

Jenn & I were honored to photograph Heather & Brandon’s Wedding at Maple Hurst Farm in Mount Vernon on May 25th.  It was a perfect day & a perfect Wedding!  Heather & Brandon have been together for about 4 years and they met while Brandon was helping to remodel Heather’s house.  They love to eat oysters at the Oyster Creek Café in Bellingham & the love to go snow mobiling!  They are coming into the marriage with kiddos (Derek, Dillon, Faith & Morgan), so they are now a family of 6!  There were some great vendors who helped make the day awesome!  The cupcakes were by Alisen Barlean, catering was courtesy of Movable Feast, Heather’s dress was courtesy of Alisha’s Bridal in Bellingham & the Tuxes were from the Men’s Warehouse!  Highlights were a performance by the Mount Baker High School Choir (which Derek is part of) and the Chinese lanterns at the end of the night!  A wonderful day for a wonderful couple!  Congrats again to Heather & Brandon and wishing you many years of happiness from RLP!
